  新西兰方面报告人简介:

Vincent Bus: Science group leader in Tree Crops. Vincent has extensively worked in breeding of new pipfruit cultivars with improved pest and disease resistance. His expertise include understanding host-pathogen interactions to achieve durable resistance, developing genetic markers, applying marker assisted selection for resistance traits in breeding programs.

David Chagne: Science group leader in Molecular and Digital Breeding. Also a research staff at the Otago University. David has profound experience in gene mapping, genetic markers detection, marker assisted selection, and plant genomics. His research interest is application of molecular genetics and genomics to understand genetic controls of plant characteristics. David is a co-leader in genomics program at ‘Genomics Aotearoa’, a government funded collaborative platform for genomics and bioinformatics research in New Zealand.

Sue Gardiner: Principle scientist in the Map and Marker team. She is a highly respected senior woman scientist and has worked in genetics mapping in apples and other fruit crops since 1990s. Her expertise include molecular markers discovery and breeding, applying genomic technologies to improve the efficiency of breeding new varieties in fruit crops. Her interest is gardening, with a special love for rhododendrons.

Cecilia Deng: Senior bioinformatician. She has led the bioinformatics analysis in fruit crops (apple, pear, peach and citrus) and pipfruit pathogen genomics projects. Her expertise are database design and Omics data processing, including genome assembly, transcriptome profiling, large structure variation detection and high throughput genotyping. Cecilia also involves in the Genomics Aotearoa platform.
